OBJECTIVE TESTING
Objective testing is becoming the gold standard of patient evaluation — a
standard utilized by physicians and therapists to correctly identify and treat
specific patient conditions. The ability to correctly measure each patient’s
pathology helps establish baseline status, guide the course of treatment and
measure overall progress with rehabilitation. The Isotechnologies B-200 and the
BTE Primus are among the only machines in the nation that can objectively measure
strength, endurance and range of motion of the trunk and upper/lower extremities.
They help to identify and/or confirm a diagnosis or condition as well as measure
the physical capabilities or functional work capacity of each patient.
The MCU (Multi Cervical Unit) is the most effective and complete system for the
assessment and rehab of patients suffering from neck pain, whiplash associated
disorders (WAD), and general cervical spine disorders. Its advanced technology
helps you perform objective evaluations and standardized treatment, so you can
quickly satisfy the needs of patients, clinicians, and insurers. The MCU has a
computerized interface that records real-time cervical spine movement and isometric
strength in all three planes of motion. This eliminates the subjectivity of manual
testing. Additionally, the dynamic strengthening protocol complements manual
therapy - while it maintains objectivity for the progression of cervical spine rehab.
In addition to whiplash associated disorders, other common diagnoses treated with
these technologies include but are not limited to: back injuries, fractures,
arthroplasties, tendon repairs and transfers, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel
syndrome, tendonitis, nerve repairs and compression syndromes. Additionally, we
offer nerve conduction testing of the tibial, peroneal, median and ulnar nerves as
well as DEXA Scan bone densitometry. Our goal is to offer superior patient care by
optimizing our evaluation. We can then coordinate a more effective treatment plan
to efficiently return each patient to their normal lifestyle.
